Flora - she is short stature...about my height. She has jet black hair that goes to the mid part of her back. She looks at me with her dark brown eyes (just like mine) with love and warmth. Yet, she is mysterious as she hides behind a wall of pain and sadness. I can tell she hides her feelings and her pain, yet she never expresses them. She is full of love and compassion for her children...and knows what's best for all of them.
That is how I imagine my birth mom to be. I've never met her and don't remember her. I've never harbored anger or resintment towards her, I just have questions for her. I just want to know where I cam from. What did I leave behind?

III - Bakcground Information on Natural Parents
Flora Ubatay is the natural mother of the child. She hails from Salay River 2, Salay, Misamis Oriental. In the year 1973, she got married to a certain Marino Abrio with whom she begot four children. They lived in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon then. Her legal husband is a soldier assigned to the 52nd Engineering Brigade at Manolo Fortich. In the year 1982, said husband was transferred to Jolo leaving his family at Salay. Flora decided to go with her husband in that new assignment but because of the serious peace and order situation, wives were not allowed to go with them. So the arrangement ws that, the hsuband will just send money every month. Six months after, the monthly support of the husband amount $450.00 per month stoped, leading and casing the wife to go to Jolo to find out what happened. Sad to say that when she reached the place, she found out that her husband has a live-in wife and that he hsa a two month old baby girl. So, the wife went home with no money at all. To this situation, she reported that case to their Commanding Officer and finally a monthly support of $200.00 but this amount was not enough. Considering that situation, she decided to leave her two older children to her in-laws in Antiquera, Bohol.
Flora is 32 years old and finished first year high school. She met the father of Flora Mae in Salay because they were neighbors. After she got pregnant from this man, the man went away and nowhere to be found. So, right after the birth of the child she was given up by her mother. Since the child was born up to this time that the child is at Bethany Home, the natural father never appeared to claim for the child.
